BEWARE, Kirkwood Builders is not to be trusted. Needs to take "Custom" builder out of title. In fact, he is not a builder at all, he gets plans from architectural digest & hires subs to build it for him. My 11yr old can do that!!! He does not have the "Art of design" His Awards should actually be going to Architectural Digest. All the items in our home were designed & thought of by ourselves. Art Kirkwood does things his way,not the paying customers way & does not follow contracted items to be installed in hopes you won't notice. He kills you with fake kindness and lies!!!!! You will spend 1000's of dollars repairing his mistake due to lack of major oversites and his refusal to take ownership of his errors. There is no communication with his subs & they are left to just do things 1/2 assed. You will NOT get what u paid for. Kirkwood is overwhelmed with trapping suckers to build homes for that he can not pay attention to detail of his existing projects. You will NOT close on your home at original set date due to the fact that he does NOT have your best interest in mind. You will spend funds on extra storage time,extra months on rent etc Very sloppy work from ALL Kirkwood subs. (I could list all projects but you would disgusted reading them all He will short change you with your "allowance budget" with his saying of "use it or loose it". You should not loose anything on what your paying for and entitled to. He will tell you " you are the most difficult client he has
