Our philosophy is simple, work closely with farmers, tailor roast each small batch to reveal hidden nuances, and hand wrap distinct varietals into delicious chocolate bars. We are roasters, that's what we do, and cocoa, like wine and coffee, contains layered flavors that vary greatly depending on the region, soil, altitude, farmer, and preparation. I feel that dogs need to get back to simple basics with recipes even veterinarians would approve of. I took out the wheat that makes them itch, corn that does not digest and soy; especially GMO. The last thing I really wanted to change was the addition of artificial color. Bow-Wowies treats are all FREE of artificial dyes and food coloring. Most homemade treats need to be kept in the fridge but not Bow-Wowies. They stay fresh for a few months without adding any preservatives. The first Bow-Wowies treat was the GRAIN FREE "Buck-a-Roos" it is still one of the most popular today. I came up with the name Bow-Wowies because Mason, my Lab/Pit mix loved to howl. When I brought Daisy Mae home to keep him company, she had her own little-bark soprano song together it sounded like "Bow-Wowieeee"
