Mineral Wells Center of Life is a Christ-centered ministry, recognized as a tax exempt nonprofit public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, that works to, without discrimination, promote and sustain a collaboration of the resources of our community to provide short-term assistance for those in poverty, and help people develop and pursue a personal plan of action to escape the bondage of poverty through faith, education, and mentoring. MWCOL helps with temporary physical assistance, but seeks to go beyond to long-term solutions. Those seeking help are mentored to discover what resources they have and the underlying causes of their need. We strive to get personally involved in clients' lives and help them find a way out of the cycle of poverty. Through faith, education, and mentoring solutions we help our clients become self-sufficient. MWCOL works with area churches, businesses, and other organizations to make a real difference. We operate under the premise that poverty goes beyond financial resources or the lack thereof, but is based in broken relationships. We seek to help people restore relationships with God, self, others, and the rest of creation. MWCOL also seeks to help people find their talents, gifts, and thus God's plan for their life. A sense of self-worth is found and empowers people to be all God has created them to be.
